Smudging The Boundaries
   
I like to think of it as 'smudging' as the softness of foliage is like the gentle wash technique on a watercolour painting. And really landscaping is like painting only your palette is living and breathing. Avoid 'cementing' boundaries by planting a narrow parallel-sided strip around the base of fences; rather work to create a better proportioned space within the allotted area.
