Citrus Caterpillar
Description
This caterpillar is mainly green with spines the length of the body. It will grow to 45 mm long with a voracious appetite. When disturbed, it produces a strong smell from a forked pink scent organ, which protrudes from the head.

The butterfly has forewings, black with grey and white markings. Hind wings are marked in white, orange-red and blue. Adults feed on the nectar of various plants but lay eggs only on citrus and related plants.

Can we live with them?
A couple will not cause too much damage, but they are best avoided.

Control
