Garden Clinic - Plant Of The Week

Lovely graceful arching stems make this a good selection for a sunny embankment or rock garden. Plants are marginally frost tender. Masses of tiny flared tubular red flowers last through summer and autumn. It flowers best in full sun with well-drained gritty soil that can be kept moist. A rock wall planting is perfect. It will grow to 1.5 m tall and spread 2.4m wide. Trim it lightly to encourage more growth from the base.
