David Austin Roses have released the 'William and Catherine' rose to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge which took place on the 29th of April 2011 at Westminster Abbey.
'William and Catherine' features flowers with an old rose shape and a medium strength fragrance, when they first start to open they are a soft creamy apricot colour. Petals then fade to cream and finally pure white, the overall impression is of white. This plant is a very healthy variety forming a bushy upright shrub suitable in mixed borders, rose borders, informal and formal rose beds.
'William and Catherine' was displayed at the Chelsea 2011 flower show, a release date for Australia is still uncertain.
